In accordance with the provisions of Law No. 9 of 2019 on the regulation of credit information exchange and its executive regulations, all individual and corporate (commercial) customers have the right to submit a complaint or dispute to Kuwait Credit Information Network Co. using the designated form to challenge the validity or accuracy of the information in their credit report. The complaint or dispute must be filed within 15 days from the report's issuance date.

How to apply for a dispute or object to the content of the credit information report?

The dispute must be submitted after the issuance of the credit information report, either by visiting CINET’s headquarters or by accessing the company’s online services (website or mobile application).

In accordance with Law No. 9 of 2019 on the regulation of credit information exchange and its executive regulations, if CINET identifies an error in the submitted information or data, the provider of this information will be notified within 5 days of receiving the complaint. The data provider must then review the complaint, make any necessary corrections (if any), and inform CINET of the outcome within three days. In all cases, CINET must notify the customer of the result no later than 15 days from the date of receiving the complaint.

If the complainant is not satisfied with the resolution, they have the right to file an appeal with the Central Bank of Kuwait within 15 days of being notified by CINET of the complaint outcome. The Central Bank of Kuwait will then review the appeal and provide a response within 15 days.

It is required to attach copies of the following:

  • Credit report (issued within the last 15 days)
  • A valid civil ID to the facility's legal representative
  • A valid commercial registration or trade license to entities that do not have a commercial registration number
  • Any supporting documents that substantiate the complaint (if applicable)
