Frequently Asked Questions

CINET offers two types of credit reports: the Individual Credit Report and the Commercial Credit Report. These reports include comprehensive credit information, both positive and negative, along with credit rating indicators and detailed records of credit facilities granted to individuals and companies.

Credit information for individuals and companies is sourced from various entities, including banks, investment companies, finance companies, and other commercial institutions that provide credit facilities through installment-based transactions for goods and services. Additionally, any entities possessing credit-related data or information on customers’ fulfillment of their obligations contribute to this database. Such information is regularly updated in accordance with the CINET’s established guidelines.

In order to get your credit report, you can register through the website of CINET (www.cinet.com.kw), or download our application (CINET Kuwait) for IOS, Android, Huawei devices or smart tablets or by visiting CINET’s headquarters, or through your respective lending institutions.

The credit report allows you to review your credit history and financial obligations. Additionally, it includes your digital credit rating. Regularly checking your credit report ensures the accuracy of your credit information provided by entities subscribed to CINET.

A credit report consists of the following components:

  • Personal Information: Includes details such as name, ID type, ID value, gender, date of birth, registration date, nationality, and contact information.
  • Credit Facilities: Lists all active and closed credit facilities, including loans, credit cards, and financing details.
  • Payment History: Shows a record of past payments, including any delays or defaults.
  • Credit Score & Rating: Provides an assessment of creditworthiness based on financial behavior.
  • Legal Information: Contains any legal actions related to financial obligations, such as court case register date and date of removing legal action.
  • Credit Inquiries: Displays a list of entities that have accessed the customer's credit report.
  • Negative Information: Includes details of overdue payments, defaults, and any adverse credit history.

Negative information refers to any data that adversely impacts your creditworthiness.

CINET is only displaying history for the last 5 years in the Credit Report (CIR). And regarding the legal accounts, the status will remain for 3 years form the Date of removing Legal action.

Credit Scoring is a digital index based on statistical principles, specifically developed to align with the data and trends of the Kuwaiti credit market, in accordance with international best practices and standards. This index provides a summary of the customer’s entire credit history and is calculated using advanced mathematical and statistical methods, reflecting the rating score linked to the customer's ability to meet future financial obligations.

The Credit Scoring (digital assessment) is calculated based on information provided by data and information providers, including but not limited to the customer's payment history, outstanding obligations, credit history duration, credit inquiries, types of credit facilities used, and past financial status. The credit rating is dynamic and continuously updates based on the customer's credit behavior and adherence to timely obligation settlements. Any delays or failures in payments, partial settlements, maxing out credit card limits, or acquiring additional credit facilities may negatively impact the credit rating.
